My First Lolita JSK

This is the first Lolita JSK I've ever made. It's a work in progress, in the classic style, with an A-line circle skirt. I'm still playing around with the bow placement, and I haven't added the hem lace yet, as I'm still busy crocheting it. (The lace that's already attached was not handmade. The thinner one came from walmart, of all places....and the flat lace on the bodice and straps was a vintage salvage from the edge of a handkerchief found at my favorite thrift store.)
I'm adding a waist tie (that's the long section hanging on the right of the top photo- I haven't attached the other side yet), and I'll be making my own blouse to go underneath the top section. I haven't decided yet on shoes or hair accessories...I don't want everything to be too matchy, so I think I'm going to go with plain burgundy and cream, and not add any of the fabric pattern to it. :)

Fairy Door Series: Cupid's Garden Gate

Gosh, this looks awfully cutesy next to pyramid head, huh? See, I can be mushy....<3

Chunky Steampunk ATC

This one was for a Chunky Pick a Theme swap I hosted, and my partner listed Steampunk as one of her theme choices.~ I love steampunk colors~ it's one of my favorite themes to work with. :)

Horror ATC #1

Pyramid Head! Cuz nothing screams horror quite like a guy covered in blood and someone else's skin, with a giant knife/sword to hack you apart with...and that doesn't even begin to cover the metal monstrosity over his face. I think I may go with something less terrifying for card #2. :)

The Colors of Japan: Geisha

One altered image collage, and one completely hand-painted card. I don't do those very often, but I was inspired by my partner's profile. :)

Text and Collage Swap: ATCsforall.com

This site is set up a bit differently- the swap was 3 for 3, and I made an extra card for the host. (On this site, you mail all cards to the host, who then redistributes them to the participants, usually based on skill or effort. You also pay for return postage, which keeps everyone honest, and usually weeds out the sticker slappers!)

Steampunk ATC

This is probably my favorite creation in the last month or so...I was almost tempted to keep it for myself! :)

I honestly can't remember where that little key came from....and I nearly lost a finger cutting the clock face in half. It's now safely covered in tacky-glue, nailpolish,  cardstock, and paper along the edge....just don't try taking it apart. It's hazardous to your limbs.

I don't know why there's a bunny. Maybe he's a Victorian bunny.
